The Uncanny Post
Made possible by many contributions.
The Uncanny Post brings together original editorial work, licensed recordings and artwork, open reference data, open-source software and thoughtful product feedback.
Creators and musicians
Our sound catalog includes credited field recordists, public-domain readings, and music by Kevin MacLeod and Chris Zabriskie. Each recording keeps its source, license and modification notes. Attribution does not imply endorsement.
Artists and open artwork
Journal stickers include Noto Emoji, Twemoji, Lucide, Doodle Icons and Tabler artwork under their respective licenses, alongside generated illustrations. Sheep scenes and other generated site artwork were created for this project; they are not licensed stock previews.
Reference material and software
Princeton WordNet supports ordinary word recognition and optional language definitions. It is separate from dream interpretations. Researchers and authors cited in the source library support specific discussions; citation does not grant permission to reproduce their entire works. Open-source libraries make the interface and service possible.
People who test and question
We appreciate people who choose to report problems, question a reading, suggest a feature or help improve accessibility. We do not publish private tester names or dreams as acknowledgments without permission.
