The Uncanny PostDream interpretation guide
Why am I dreaming about a road?
A road may be a familiar route or a way for the dream to organize getting somewhere. The important details are your destination, who chooses the route, and what happens when the way changes. A crossroads can raise a question about choice when you actually have to decide; an ordinary commute may simply continue a recent or repeated journey.
What happened in your dream?
Open a scene to compare a possible reading with your experience.
You travel a familiar road that changes unexpectedly
The scene may explore the gap between expecting to know your way and encountering something unfamiliar. If it connects with a waking change, ask what used to feel routine and now needs renewed attention.
Ask yourself: At what point did the familiar route stop behaving as expected?
You must choose between roads
If the choice feels important, the dream may offer a setting for ambivalence or anticipation. It does not identify the correct waking decision; the differences between the routes and your reactions are material for reflection.
Ask yourself: What attracted or worried you about each route?
You are a passenger, lost, or unable to reach the destination
Being a passenger may make trust or limited control relevant; getting lost may make uncertainty central. Who is steering and whether you welcome their help can reverse the reading.
Ask yourself: Who decided where you were going, and did you agree with them?
What does it mean in your dream?
Tell us what happened before and after this moment, what felt important, and any personal connection. Those details help distinguish the possibilities.
